After-School Part-Time Nanny in Alexandria, VA – $30 per hour

A loving and busy family in Alexandria, VA, is seeking a structured, reliable, and experienced after-school nanny for their two children, ages 3 and 6. Both parents work full-time, and they need a dependable caregiver to provide a consistent, engaging, and structured environment in the afternoons.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed 20 hours per week (additional hours possible)
• Flexibility to stay later if needed

Compensation & Benefits:

• $30 per hour (based on experience)
• Paid on the books
• Paid time off: 1 week paid vacation, 2-4 sick/personal days, major holidays
• Long-term position with a stable, committed family

Duties & Responsibilities:

• School pick-up and transporting children home
• Engage in age-appropriate activities to support learning and development
• Prepare meals/snacks for the children
• Light housekeeping: tidying up, vacuuming, organizing play areas and common spaces
• Care for two friendly yellow labs
• Ensure a structured and fun environment for both children

Qualifications:

• Experienced nanny with a background in structured, engaging childcare
• Loving but firm, able to set boundaries while keeping things fun
• Reliable, proactive, and organized
• Comfortable with strong-willed children and adapting to change
• Safe and reliable car for transportation
• Valid driver's license
• 3-5 professional references required
• U.S. work authorization required
