Job Title: Bench Technician

Location: Sterling, VA

Job Type: Contract (3-6 months long)

Pay: $23-$30hr

Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Bench Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical components. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and test electronic and mechanical components according to specifications and schematics.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty components and systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Document test results and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve product designs and processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Bench Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of electronic and mechanical systems.
• Proficient in using hand tools, soldering equipment, and testing instruments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
