Job Description:

The Senior Solution Architect will provide technical leadership and strategic direction for systems integration and technology implementations, primarily supporting PG&E projects. This role involves designing high-level architectural views, addressing systems integration challenges, and providing recommendations on market trends and R&D investment directions. The architect will oversee architectural specifications, requirements gathering, technical documentation, and solution delivery to ensure seamless systems integration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide overall technical leadership for systems implementation and integration programs.
• Manage all technical deliverables, including architectural specifications, requirements gathering, use-case development, and validation.
• Guide software development and quality assurance teams throughout the integration process.
• Develop technical documentation and methodologies for architecture, requirements, software engineering, design, and testing.
• Lead enterprise GIS road mapping workshops for both electric and gas utilities, developing business release roadmaps.
• Assist utility clients in passing internal implementation project reviews.
• Execute GIS system tuning and system threshold testing procedures.
• Develop system deployment views, specifying software components and sizing system hardware components.
• Conduct solution architecture sessions and workshops with utility clients.
• Provide technical leadership and problem-solving advice by reviewing active Systems Integration projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of architectural standards and implementation practices.
• Design new solutions for customers and create high-level architectural views.

Skills Required:

• Demonstrated experience in providing technical leadership for implementation and integration.
• Ability to generate solution architecture documents, gather requirements, and provide validation.
• Proven experience guiding software development and quality assurance teams.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and solution architecture tools.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• High degree of personal and professional integrity.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's and Master’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., IT, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electric Engineering, etc.) or equivalent utility and consulting work experience.
• 8-10 years of experience supporting utility consulting or large-scale process/technology projects.
• Familiarity with utility business processes in construction, operations, asset management, and operational awareness.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in electric and gas transmission & distribution industries.
• Knowledge of general utility business processes and enterprise GIS technology integration.

Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
