Job Overview:

Vosges Haut-Chocolat invites a visionary and imaginative Creative Director to join our team in Chicago. As the architect of our brand's visual and experiential identity, you will be instrumental in crafting compelling narratives that celebrate the art, science, and global inspiration behind our luxury chocolate creations. You will lead and inspire a talented team, ensuring that every touchpoint – from packaging to digital experiences to retail environments – reflects the unique magic and sophisticated indulgence that defines Vosges Haut-Chocolat.

Responsibilities:

  • Brand Vision & Strategy: Develop and articulate a cohesive and compelling creative vision for the Vosges Haut-Chocolat brand, ensuring consistency across all channels and touchpoints. Translate brand strategies into innovative and impactful creative concepts.
  • Creative Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary creative team, including designers, photographers, copywriters, and potentially external agencies. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing creative culture. Looking for a person who will also roll up their sleeves and execute
  • Visual Identity & Execution: Oversee the development and execution of all visual elements, including packaging design, photography, videography, digital assets (website, social media), in-store experiences, and marketing materials, ensuring they align with the brand's premium aesthetic and storytelling.
  • New Product Development: Work closely with the leadership team and chef to build highly illustrative Seasonal product lines from concept to final product, including packaging, insert cards, chocolate layout, and managing print vendors.
  • Direct Photography: Lead photoshoots for Seasonal Campaigns and everyday lifestyle to get a variety of highly engaging, beautiful imagery. Food and product styling experience. Ensure photography is elevated and consistent across website.
  • Narrative Development: Craft and guide the development of compelling brand narratives that highlight the unique ingredients, global inspirations, and sensory journeys behind Vosges Haut-Chocolat's creations.
  • Digital Experience: Collaborate with the marketing and e-commerce teams to ensure a seamless and engaging digital experience that reflects the brand's luxury and storytelling. Oversee the visual and experiential aspects of the website, social media, and digital campaigns.
  • Retail Environment: Partner with the retail team to conceptualize and elevate the in-store experience, ensuring that the physical environment embodies the brand's essence and provides a captivating journey for customers.
  • Project Management: Manage creative projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Effectively present creative concepts and strategies to internal stakeholders and external partners. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, sales, and operations teams to ensure alignment and successful execution.
  • Trend Analysis & Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends in luxury branding, design, and digital experiences, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality control standards across all creative outputs, ensuring brand consistency and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • BFA in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related creative field.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in a creative role, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity, preferably within a luxury, food, beverage, lifestyle brand or agency.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills, packaging, innovative creative concepts, and successful brand development across various media.
  • Deep understanding of design principles, print, typography, color theory, photography, and digital media.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute impactful brand narratives and visual identities.
  • Experience leading and inspiring creative teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for quality and craftsmanship.
  • Understanding of marketing principles and how creative work drives business results.
  • Familiarity with current design software and digital platforms.
  • A genuine appreciation for the world of fine food and luxury experiences, ideally with an interest in chocolate
