Job Description

Title: Guidewire Project Manager

Job Location: Chicago, IL

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the design development and implementation of the DataHub platform.
  • This includes selecting appropriate technologies and tools defining data models and schemas and ensuring data lineage and quality.
  • Drive data governance initiatives.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards manage data access controls and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. GDPR CCPA).
  • Promote data literacy and self-service data access.
  • Educate and empower business users to effectively discover understand and utilize data.
  • Collaborate with data engineers data scientists and business stakeholders.
  • Gather requirements translate business needs into technical solutions and ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Monitor and maintain the DataHub platform.
  • Ensure optimal performance identify and resolve issues and continuously improve the platform's functionality and usability.
  • Stay abreast of the latest data management technologies and best practices.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and techniques to enhance the DataHub and improve data operations.
  • Mentor and guide junior data professionals. Share knowledge and expertise provide guidance and support and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Engineer Data Architect or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing data lake architectures and data integration principles.
  • Experience with data cataloging tools (e.g. DataHub Amundsen) is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling data quality assessment and data lineage tracking.
  • Proficiency in SQL Python and other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience with cloud platforms.
  • GCP is a plus.
  • Excellent communication collaboration and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
