Seasonal, 40 hours per week
Monday - Friday, Hours 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM
Staff Training 6/16 - 6/21, Camp in Session 6/23 - 8/8
STARTING SALARY: $21.50 / hour
POSITION RANGE: $21.50 – $22.50 / hour
POSITION SUMMARY & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
The Summer Camp Director is responsible for camp operations which includes planning the schedule of activities and themes for 7 weeks of camp within the budget provided and developing a plan for the staff training week. The Director will schedule, supervise, and evaluate leadership staff. The Director will communicate with the school regarding use of the facility and will inspect and supervise the maintenance of the facility, supplies, materials and equipment. Strong communication, problem solving, customer service, and decision-making abilities are required as the Director will be communicating with parents and assisting with the management of behaviors at camp including discipline. The Director will be required to maintain accurate records including journals, reports, time records, and records of activities. Reliable daily attendance is required. Extensive experience in summer camp is required.
