We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Hardware Engineering to lead our hardware development efforts and drive innovation in our product offerings.

Position Overview: As the Vice President of Hardware Engineering, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, development, and execution of hardware engineering initiatives within our organization. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to drive the development of robust hardware solutions that integrate seamlessly with our robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the hardware engineering vision and strategy aligned with the company’s overall objectives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing hardware engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Product Development: Oversee the entire hardware development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with software engineering, product management, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
  • Innovation and Technology Integration: Identify and implement emerging technologies in hardware design and manufacturing to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to best practices, development standards, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Budget Management: Manage departmental budgets, optimizing resource allocation to meet strategic goals.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Extensive background in hardware engineering, with a proven track record in delivering complex hardware products from concept to production. Experience in the robotics industry is highly desirable.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated success in leading and managing large engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of hardware development processes, manufacturing techniques, and integration with software systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align engineering efforts with business goals and market demands, driving innovation and adapting to emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree: Master’s or Ph.D. in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and certifications applicable to robotics and automation.
  • Professional Network: Strong network and relationships within the robotics industry, academic institutions, and research organizations.
