Job Description

HPA Design Group is seeking a Level II Interior Designer to join our team to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of the day-to-day production of multi-family interior design projects to meet deadlines accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project admin support to designers and managers
  • Design multifamily projects
  • Interact with clients semi-regularly
  • Coordinate with other professionals such as contractors, architects, engineers and other consultants to ensure job success.
  • Develop strong relationships with vendors
  • Prepare and manage furniture budgets
  • Utilize vendors and materials knowledge to create unique and innovative presentations
  • Successful at multi-tasking to meet fast paced project deadlines
  • Produce documentation, detailed instructions, drawings and specifications
  • Assist in requesting pricing for budgetary purposes
  • Adheres to building codes & ADA compliance throughout project lifecycle
  • Manage and coordinate installs
  • Record meeting minutes
  • Pull furniture, art, and accessory selections.
  • Domestic travel is required
  • Sit in on conference calls

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design
  • Experience should be relevant to multifamily.
  • Technical proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bluebeam, Revit & SketchUp is desirable
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm and with clients
  • Ability to clearly communicate design ideas and concepts verbally and digitally
  • Develop strong intercompany relationships

Department/Reporting Relationships

  • Studio member on interior design team
  • Reports to the Project Manager with a secondary reporting relationship to the assigned Senior Designer (Level 4)/Design Lead
  • Supports Senior Designer (Level 4)/Design Lead as needed

Work Location: Orlando, FL with opportunity for a hybrid schedule.
