Job Title: Quality Lab Technician

Location: Bolingbrook, IL

Hire Type: Direct Hire, Onsite

Target Pay Rate: $23.00/hour (plus overtime pay)

Work Schedule: Monday thru Saturday, 2:30pm - 1:30am

Job Summary:

The full-time Quality Control Technician will perform quality control tasks in a manufacturing and laboratory testing environment that includes periodic inspections of liquid filling and assembly lines; collecting, testing, and storing samples; issuing batch records and test records; and communication of quality data to management. The position requires safe use of basic and advanced quality tools and instruments used in a laboratory environment.

Job Duties:

• Inspects and tests raw materials and products for physical and chemical properties at various stages of production processes.
• Inspect production lines and materials according to quality criteria.
• Compiles and evaluates data generated to determine quality status of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
• Communicates test results, observations and critical findings to immediate supervisor and other applicable team members.
• Issues production batch records and labels daily. Works with production to verify equipment cleanliness.
• Supports sampling and preparation of product stability and microbial testing.
• Keeps equipment and laboratory clean, follows assigned safety guidelines.
• Follows cGMP (per provided training). Record and files paperwork and samples according to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
• Must be able to occasionally work extra hours to support production needs (with overtime pay).

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related science).
• Will consider a High School Diploma with 2+ years of relevant QC Lab Testing experience.
• Previous quality lab experience from a pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics, or related cGMP manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Strong organization and communication skills are needed.
